A bit about me . . . .
I was born in Liverpool, England in 1952 and I have inherited the irrepressible sense of irreverent humour which is
characteristic of Liverpool natives. My first career was in the computer industry where I wrote softwIare before becoming a freelance consultant. and project manager, living and working
in England, Austria and Switzerland.
I have travelled a lot ,and also lived, in France (see the book “The Queen of St. Tropez” and the article “The Museum of Modern Art in Nice”), and Japan. Living in Japan was a rewarding experience which I enjoyed immensely, but was not without its
trials and tribulations. The book “Impressions of Japan” contains my observations in the form of articles, some of which were published in Tokyo.
Before moving to Japan however, there was time for me to do a round the world spiritual pilgrimage which took in the UK, USA,
Japan, Thailand and India (see the article “Leaving India”).
My writing is almost always based upon personal experience, with a fair amount of imaginative embellishment. “The Queen of St.Tropez” is based upon actual events which took place whilst travelling in the Cote d’Azur, whilst the TV/Film script “Connie & Joe” is based upon my own experiences and observations with Liverpool people. I try always to bring a sense of humour and an honesty to what
I write.
The book “The Little Book of Happiness” is my attempt to share some of the things that
I have learnt up to this point in my own, personal evolution. It is a simple collection of principles and practices which if followed, can lead to a happy, fulfilled and joyful life.
The book is for everyone. Take a look. Perhaps it will speak to you.
